Where Pizza Becomes Art

We started in a tiny kitchen in Cornwall, experimenting with dough recipes at odd hours. What began as weekend passion projects turned into something bigger when friends kept asking us to teach them our plating techniques.

Our Creative Path

From humble beginnings to becoming Cornwall's go-to spot for pizza presentation education, our journey has been anything but ordinary. Each phase taught us something new about turning simple ingredients into visual masterpieces.

2020 - 2021

Kitchen Experiments

Started teaching small workshops in our home kitchen. People wanted to learn not just how to make pizza, but how to present it in ways that made guests say wow. We focused on simple techniques that anyone could master.

2022 - 2023

Moving to Cornwall Square

When we moved to the food court's upper level, everything changed. We could reach more people, experiment with different plating styles, and build a proper learning space. The energy here inspires creativity daily.

2024 - 2025

Building Community

Now we're focused on sharing what we've learned through hands-on sessions and creative workshops. Our students range from home cooks to aspiring chefs, all united by a love for beautiful food presentation.

What Drives Us Forward

These principles shape every workshop we teach and every technique we share. They're not just words on a page — they're the foundation of how we approach food presentation education.

Accessible Creativity

You don't need fancy tools or expensive ingredients to create stunning plates. We show you how to work with what you have and transform ordinary dishes into something special through thoughtful arrangement and simple techniques.

Hands-On Learning

Theory only gets you so far. Our workshops put you right at the counter, experimenting with different plating styles and discovering what works for your unique vision. You'll leave with skills you can use immediately.

Authentic Expression

There's no single right way to plate a pizza. We encourage students to develop their own style, drawing inspiration from Italian traditions while adding personal touches that make each creation uniquely theirs.

Community Focus

The best learning happens when people share ideas and techniques. Our space brings together food enthusiasts who push each other to try new approaches and refine their craft through friendly experimentation.

Meet the Person Behind the Vision

Every great educational experience needs someone who genuinely cares about student success. Our founder brings years of culinary experimentation and a passion for teaching to every workshop.

Toivo Leppänen

Founder & Lead Instructor

Toivo discovered his love for food presentation while working in various kitchens across Ontario. He realized that many talented cooks struggled with the visual aspect of their dishes, and traditional culinary schools didn't always focus on practical plating techniques for everyday cooking.

After years of developing his own methods and teaching informal workshops, he decided to create a dedicated space where people could learn food presentation in a relaxed, supportive environment. Today, he leads most of our sessions and continues to develop new approaches to make beautiful plating accessible to everyone.

When he's not teaching, you'll find him testing new ingredient combinations or visiting local markets for inspiration. His philosophy is simple: if you can make a pizza, you can make it look amazing.
